IRCC holds Express Entry draw for healthcare and social services occupations
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system in a targeted draw focused on healthcare and social services occupations. To be considered, candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 504 and must have submitted their Express Entry profile before 6:47 a.m. UTC on March 31, 2025. This marks the second Express Entry draw of the month and the second-ever draw specifically targeting updated healthcare and social services roles. It follows recent draws for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) on June 2, the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) on May 13, and another PNP draw on May 12. So far in 2025, IRCC has issued a total of 35,217 ITAs. This year’s Express Entry draws have primarily focused on PNP candidates, with additional invitations going to CEC candidates, French-speaking individuals, and those in other priority categories. Candidates who do not receive an ITA within one year must resubmit their profile if they still meet the eligibility criteria, but their new submission time could impact their chances due to IRCC’s tie-breaking rules. Once an ITA is issued, candidates have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence, which the Canadian government aims to process within six months from the time the full application is received
